Select a Year & Set: Start by choosing a year and set. This will display the estimated case price and provide quick links to search TCDB or HockeyChecklists.com for that set.
Check Case Prices: Use the retailer buttons to quickly look up the most recent case price from five major retailers.
Break Pricing Options: Adjust key financial factors such as markup, expected discount, blended tax rate, and supply costs to better understand a breaker's actual profit.
Key Rookies: When a year is selected, key rookie players will appear. Tap on a player’s photo or name to visit their NHL.com profile, or tap the eBay link to search for the most recent sales of that player’s cards (sorted by highest sale first).
Break Profit Breakdown: The pie chart visualizes how much a breaker is expected to make, how much Whatnot takes (wow!), and the estimated costs for supplies and transaction fees.
Card Distribution & Value Analysis: The table at the bottom shows the distribution of numbered cards in the selected set. Using this, it calculates the "distributed cost" and "distributed price" to help you determine whether a breaker’s pricing is worth it based on your odds of pulling a numbered card.
Picking the Best Teams: Teams with key rookies are highlighted in the table. The best teams to pick are those with key rookies and a high card distribution in the set. These spots offer the best chance to avoid skunking, but they also tend to be more expensive. We will be adding the ability to “boost” teams based on key cards or players, to give you a better understanding of value for any break spot.
Search for Team Sales: Tap on any team name in the table to search for the highest-priced recent sales of that team’s cards from the selected set.
